Meaningful Learning Theory

I learned that meaningful learning theory is all about how the individuals learn   by relating the newly acquired knowledge to the past information that was learned. In meaningful learning theory there are characteristics and concepts that will help the learners in developing the learning specially on learning large amount of information presented. Meaningful learning theory guide the learners to remember information that provide building blocks for new learning experiences it construct meaning by joining what is to be learned to what has been experienced and provide plenty of good ideas through casual connection, comparison and illustration. Learning is meaningful if we are motivated to learn and acquire knowledge and apply everything that we learn so it won’t be forgotten.
